Please read this Certification Disclaimer carefully before purchasing or undertaking any certification assessment.

Purpose of Certification

Sakura Institute certifications are awarded to candidates who successfully demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and competencies against the assessment criteria applicable at the time of assessment.

Certification confirms that a candidate has met the standards established by Sakura Institute during the assessment process.

Certification Is Not a Guarantee of Employment

Certification issued by Sakura Institute does not guarantee:

  • Employment

  • Self-employment success

  • Client acquisition

  • Business growth

  • Earnings or income levels

  • Career progression

  • Professional opportunities

Individual results will vary depending on experience, location, market conditions, business practices, and personal performance.

Insurance & Professional Recognition

Successful certification may assist candidates in obtaining professional insurance.

Sakura Institute is an ABT Accredited Assessment Provider, and successful candidates may be eligible to apply for ABT insurance, subject to ABT's current terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements.

Successful candidates may also receive an exclusive 10% discount on ABT insurance.

Insurance approval remains solely at the discretion of ABT or any other insurance provider.

Sakura Institute cannot guarantee insurance approval or acceptance by any insurer.

Candidates are responsible for verifying their own insurance requirements before undertaking professional services.

Local Regulations & Licensing

Professional requirements vary between countries, regions, local authorities, and insurance providers.

It is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure they comply with:

  • Local laws

  • Licensing requirements

  • Insurance requirements

  • Health and safety regulations

  • Professional practice standards

Sakura Institute makes no representation that certification alone satisfies all legal or regulatory requirements in any specific location.

Assessment Standards

Certification is awarded only when the required assessment standards have been achieved.

Purchasing an assessment does not guarantee a passing result.

All submissions are reviewed against established assessment criteria.

Sakura Institute reserves the right to:

  • Request additional evidence

  • Request clarification

  • Refuse certification where standards are not met

  • Update assessment requirements when necessary

  • Withhold certification where dishonesty or misconduct is identified

Assessment Feedback & Resubmissions

Candidates who do not initially meet the required standards will receive professional feedback outlining areas for improvement.

Candidates may continue to resubmit their assessment following assessor feedback until the required standards have been achieved.

A minimum 7-day period is required between submissions to allow time for improvement and implementation of feedback.

Verification of Certification

Certificates issued by Sakura Institute may include QR verification technology to allow employers, salons, clients, insurers, and other authorised parties to verify certification authenticity.

Sakura Institute reserves the right to revoke certification where evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, misconduct, or falsified submissions is discovered.

Professional Responsibility

Certification does not replace professional judgment, ongoing education, or safe working practices.

Certified technicians remain responsible for:

  • Maintaining professional standards

  • Working safely and ethically

  • Following manufacturer guidelines

  • Maintaining appropriate insurance

  • Complying with local laws and regulations

  • Continuing professional development where appropriate

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sakura Institute shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses arising from:

  • Assessment outcomes

  • Certification decisions

  • Insurance applications

  • Employment decisions

  • Business performance

  • Professional activities undertaken by certified individuals
